This course is developed with the aim of taking complex concepts in AI and distilling them in a way that is approachable to learners who may not have computational backgrounds.  The course is designed to include as much applied and case-study content as possible to make the material relevant and applicable. This is a comprehensive course that covers a  breadth of content rather than focus on one specific area of AI to facilitate the comprehension of the wide range of AI application.  

Learner Outcomes:

80 % of learners will be able to present foundational information about artificial intelligence and its applications in healthcare, public health, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical sciences. 80% of learners will be able to develop AI literacies for entry-level clinical practice, public health, and health-related careers. 80% of learners will be able to provides an overview of the history of AI, most common types of AI approaches, and state-of-the-art of AI in health-related applications. 80% of learners will be able to distinguish realities from hype around AI’s capabilities and limitations and reviews ethical and regulatory considerations.

After attending this activity, the learners will be able to:
